BES¶
Contacts: Matt Kriete, Lucas Morton
Short Description¶
Beam Emission Spectroscopy analysis toolbox
Long Description¶
The module has tools for analyzing data from the DIII-D beam emission spectroscopy (BES) diagnostic, which has a 2D array of channels measuring low-k density fluctuations from the core to edge. The main tools are spectrograms and cross-spectra between BES channels.
Typical workflows¶
The first tab of the GUI allows you to load (and optionally filter) data for the desired shot. Then the rest of the tabs perform a different type of analyses:
spectrogram
cross-spectra
dynamic time warping
2D velocimetry
Supported devices¶
DIII-D, NSTX-U
