CHERAB

Contacts: Bhavin Patel

Short Description

Run the CHERAB code to generate synthetic diagnostic measurements based on plasma simulation output (e.g. TRANSP/SOLPS)

Keywords

Synthetic diagnostic modelling, CHERAB, ray-tracing

Long Description

The charge-exchange recombination and beam analysis (CHERAB) code developed at JET as a platform for modelling spectroscopic diagnostics with the Raysect ray-tracing package. The framework is capable of handling detailed 3D engineering geometry and spectrally resolved metallic reflections. This GUI handles the interface to CHERAB and allows the user to select the synthetic diagnostics they want to model for each device based on the combination of plasma simulation code outputs (e.g. from TRANSP or SOLPS).
